Jennie Finch is hands down the most influential person of softball. She changed the classic "you throw like a girl" insult to a compliment. There is nothing that Jennie couldn't do on the field. She was an excellent power hitter, a smart and fast base runner, and an overpowering pitcher. Beyond Jennie's ability to play, her work ethic and competitive drive was a cherry on top. Jennie has five pitches along with her fastball; a riser, a curveball, a screwball, a dropball, and a changeup. She has complete control over all of them and she regularly hits 70mph on a radar gun. If I were to list all of Jennie's accomplishments, I would be going on forever.
Background Info
Jennie grew up in La Mirada, California. Jennie went to the University of Arizona and played on the USA softball team.
Has there ever been a girl in the MLB?
ReplyDeleteThere has never been a girl in Major League Baseball, but there has been girls in Minor League Baseball.
DeleteThat is amazing all the things that she has accomplished! I hope one day people will be blogging about you!
ReplyDeleteI hope it will be about the two girls, pitcher and catcher, that grew up playing softball together and lived their dream! ;)
